Terms of Service

Last updated: March 15, 2026

Welcome to CANhunt. By accessing or using our mobile application and website (https://canhunt.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Use of Service

CANhunt provides hunting-related tools including maps, boundary overlays, weather data, regulation information, and hunt logging capabilities. These tools are provided for informational and navigational purposes.

Important Disclaimers

CANhunt is a tool to assist hunters, not a substitute for your own judgment and responsibility.

  • Regulations: While we strive to provide accurate hunting regulation data, regulations change frequently. Always verify current regulations with your provincial or territorial wildlife authority before hunting. CANhunt is not liable for outdated or inaccurate regulation data.
  • Boundaries: Map boundaries and overlays are approximations based on available government data. They should not be your sole method of determining your location relative to hunting zone boundaries. Physical markers, signs, and official maps take precedence.
  • Maps and Navigation: Offline maps and GPS tracking are tools to assist navigation but are not infallible. Always carry backup navigation equipment and inform someone of your hunting plans.
  • Weather: Weather forecasts are estimates based on available data. Actual conditions may differ. Always prepare for changing conditions.

Intellectual Property

The CANhunt application, website, and associated content (excluding government-sourced data) are owned by CANhunt. Map data is provided by third-party services and is subject to their respective licenses. Government regulation and boundary data is publicly sourced.

User Content

Hunt log entries, photos, and notes you create within CANhunt remain your property. By using our sync features, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit this data solely to provide the service to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CANhunt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from reliance on boundary data, regulation information, map accuracy, or GPS positioning.

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable hunting laws and regulations.
