The work that wants a full-size screen
Nobody scouts a season one thumb-width at a time. The browser is for the part of hunting that happens before the truck is loaded.
Compare units side by side
Season planning is comparison work. A full-width map holds two WMUs, the crown land between them and the road you would take, without pinching between them one at a time.
Draw it while you are looking at it
Mark the stands, draw the block you mean to walk, build the route in. It is the same drawing tools the phone has, with a mouse and a screen instead of a thumb.
Answer the legal questions early
Tap any point for the zone you would be standing in, the LEH draw zones covering it, and the rules that apply - at a desk, weeks before it matters.

What still wants the phone
The browser is the planning half, not a replacement for the app you carry. Three things it does not do:
- Recording a track needs the tab open - close it and the walk stops. The phone keeps recording in your pocket.
- Boundary layers and current conditions need a connection in the browser. Downloaded map imagery does not.
- Automatic background caching and packaged satellite downloads are phone-only.
